Sweet Sassafras, do I love me a modern quilt! I have ten new modern quilts to make thanks to Janet Goddard’s Simply Modern Patchwork Quilts. Each quilt in this book has its own distinct personality, despite having similar techniques used amongst them in creation. The instructions are laid out in a way that is pleasing to the eye and the corresponding how-to images provided are very helpful for people like me who learn better with examples. They picked beautiful fabric for each of the quilts but it feels like they made sure to pick a variety of color palettes to fit almost any personal aesthetic. I am very excited about using some of our blenders, specifically our Chambray Tonals, to give some texture and color to my new modern quilt projects! I highly recommend picking up a copy of this book for yourself, or for that modern quilter in your life.
