Civil War Remembered is a book of 19 projects that are my very favorite kind - scrappy and made from Civil War Reproduction fabrics.
The quilts in the book range from a couple of mini quilts to ones that are a nice throw size, with a few in the middle that could be used at table toppers. I love the color palette that the reproduction fabrics produce, and the variety of colors and patterns used, whether it’s totally scrappy, or a planned look.
Mary & Connie encourage the quilt maker to be brave and a little adventurous when making these quilts. One quote I especially liked was, “If you still hate a piece of fabric, you haven’t cut it small enough yet”. I’m going to have to go back and look at my stash of Civil War reproductions & take that into consideration!
